About Us

Moore Archaeological & Environmental Services Ltd. (TA Moore Group) is a multi-disciplinary environmental, planning and heritage resource management consultancy. Our work includes Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), surveys of terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, conservation management planning, ecological landscape design, built heritage and archaeological consultancy and fieldwork including excavation and specialist services.

In 2001 Moore Group began with the goal of providing a premier, cost effective consultancy service – and we grew. Since then our team of professional consultants have completed projects in a wide range of sectors in the fields of assessment and conservation of the cultural, natural and built environment, sustainable development projects, as well as local, regional and national biodiversity protection strategies. In recognition of our unique suite of services, in September 2005 we were finalists in the Galway City Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Our recent work on the national heritage of Ireland includes archaeological consultancy and fieldwork, surveys and assessments of terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, conservation management planning, and ecological landscape design for preservation of biodiversity.  Recent excavations have included the excavation of a burial ground at Dyke Road, Galway, a fulacht fiadh/burnt mound in Cherryhound, Dublin and an industrial site in Knockanure, Co. Kerry.   We have completed excavations in the past ranging in scale from small pits and postholes to larger site such as ringforts and large scale burial excavations.

Our ecologists and environmental consultants have completed EIS’s, VIA’s,  terrestrial ecology services, Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and Appropriate Assessments throughout the country.

Our consultants have worked on environmental impact assessments and monitoring contracts for projects as varied as road construction, water supply schemes, waste management sites, urban and rural building developments, industrial and commercial facilities, pier extensions, dredging operations, broadband distribution, electricity supply schemes and wind farm developments.

Moore Group have worked on many large scale projects and we are currently working on two major powerline projects – the proposed Eirgrid Kingscourt to Woodland 400kV powerline project from Woodland in County Meath to Kingscourt in County Cavan (over 100km) and the Gridwest project (approx. 100km).
