Moore Group is a multi-disciplinary environmental, planning and heritage resource management consultancy. Our work includes Environmental Impact Assessments (EIS), surveys of terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, conservation management planning, ecological landscape design, built heritage and archaeological consultancy and fieldwork including excavation and specialist services. The bullDeclan Moore, Managing Director, Consultant Archaeologist

Declan studied Archaeology and English at University College Galway, graduating in 1991.  He obtained a certificate in Management Studies in 1994 and became a licence eligible archaeologist in 1999.  Since graduating he has gained over 20 years experience as a field archaeologist, site supervisor and consultant.  Declan is a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland and the European Association of Archaeologists. Declan founded Moore Group in 2001.

Declan’s professional experience stems from a comprehensive knowledge of Irish field archaeology, historical research and Irish Archaeological Legislation.

BowGer O’Donohoe, Environmental Manager, Consultant Ecologist

Ger has over 20 years experience as an environmental consultant with particular experience in the management and planning of Environmental Impact Assessments.  He graduated from GMIT in 1993 with a B.Sc. in Applied Aquatic Sciences and subsequently worked in environmental consultancy while completing an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, graduating from Trinity College, Dublin in 1999. He joined Moore Group in 2002.

His primary role, and main experience in Moore Group is the management and compilation of Environmental Impact Statements and undertaking Ecological Impact Assessments of the terrestrial and aquatic environments of any particular development. Ger has excellent knowledge of Environmental Legislation, Planning and Policy.  He has extensive experience in freshwater and marine ecology and in terrestrial habitat surveying and mapping. In addition to freshwater and marine ecology Ger carried bat surveys, mammal surveys and specialises in Visual Impact Assessment (VIA).
