Kilfenora Cathedral

Moore Group were commissioned by the DEHLG to carry out Archaeological Testing prior to conservation works.

Cahercommaun Stone Fort

This project involved the archaeological excavation of six cuttings at Cahercommaun Stone Fort, an inland cliff top fort in State ownership.

Marine Resource Directory

The Heritage Council of Ireland commissioned Moore Group with Aengus Parsons and MarCon Computations International Ltd. to compile a directory of Heritage in the Coastal Zone. The information was collated into Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Built Heritage and Folklore and can be viewed online at coastalheritage.ie.

Bats, Birds & Buildings

Moore Group in association with Brian Keeley Consultant Mammalogist were commissioned by the Heritage Council of Ireland to prepare a report on the assessment, predicted impacts and proposed mitigation of the occurrence of birds and bats in buildings proposed for development or demolition.


Parklands & Public Spaces

The Eyre Square Redevelopment

Moore Group were commissioned by Galway City Council to monitor ground work during the redevelopment of Eyre Square in Galway City. A number of skeletons were uncovered during monitoring and these were preserved by Archaeological Excavation.

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Parklands Assessments

Moore Group were commissioned by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to complete assessments and advise on natural heritage management at 17 parks in the Council jurisdiction.

Navan Public Park

Commissioned by Ferguson McIlveen on behalf of Meath County Council to prepare Cultural Heritage and Flora & Fauna Assessments in relation to the design and planning of a civic space for the people of Navan.

Galway City Museum

Moore Group were commissioned by Galway City Council to carry out Archaeological Testing and Excavation of the site of the Galway City Museum building.


Road Schemes

Moore Group have carried out Impact Assessment and Route Selection on Flora, Fauna and Fisheries and Archaeological Assessment, Monitoring and Excavation on a number of Road Schemes including; R250, R284, R328, N6, N16, N17, N18, N52, N56, Letterkenny Inner Relief Road.


Linear Projects

Moore Group have been involved with various Consulting Engineers on projects including the Dublin North Fringe Water Supply Scheme, Lisdoonvarna Regional Water Supply Scheme, Headford Sewerage Scheme, Wicklow Waste Water Supply Scheme, Ashford Regional Water Supply Scheme, Gorey Regional Water Supply Scheme, Dunmore Sewerage Scheme, Tuam Regional Water Supply Scheme and Galway City Broadband.

Moore Group have also carried out Constraint Studies, Archaeological Monitoring and Impact Assessment of Flora, Fauna & Fisheries for various Electricity Power Schemes including; Castlebar – Cloon 110kV, Carrowbeg-Castlebar 110kV.


Wind Farms

Moore Group have been contracted for a number of wind farm projects through out the country for developers including Airtricity, DP Wind Energy, GVM Wind Energy, Hibernian Wind.


Quarry Developments

Moore Group have carried out Archaeological Impact Assessments, Flora & Fauna and Visual Impact Assessments for Quarry Developments, Quarry Extensions and Quarry Retention.


Golf Courses

Greg Norman's Kiawah Development Partners commissioned Moore Group to carry out Archaeological Assessment and ongoing Archaeological Monitoring at Doonbeg Golf Course, Co. Clare.

Moore Group were commissioned by Castlehume Golf to prepare an Environmental Management Plan as part of the development of a Nick Faldo designed Championship Course at Castlehume Co. Fermanagh. The plan involved Water Quality Assessment, Botanical Surveys, Bat, Otter and Squirrel Surveys.


Harbour Developments

Moore Group have, in conjunction with Moore Marine, been involved in several Harbour Developments including the development of Bunbeg Harbour, Co. Donegal, Killybegs Harbour Marina, Blackrock Moorings, Co. Donegal, Bastion Quay, Athlone, Ballina, Co. Tipperary, Bere Island, Co. Cork, Glassan, Co. Westmeath.


Commercial & Residential Developments

Moore Group have provided consultancy on a number of commercial and residential development projects for various agencies including, the IDA, the Health Service Executive North West Area , building contractors and private developers.
