Some Recent Milestones

  • MOORE GROUP’s Environmental section acted as consultants for the proposed development of a cross-border peace and reconciliation centre and scouting centre to be developed by Castle Saunderson Ltd., a body comprising Scouting Ireland, along with a number of other international scouting partners. This project received planning.
  • The Heritage Council of Ireland commissioned MOORE GROUP in association with Bat Conservation Ireland to prepare National Guidelines for building refurbishment and demolition works aimed at addressing issues of bat and bird conservation. The publication is pending.
  • DEHLG appointed MOORE to provide archaeological consultancy to the OPW for the continuing restoration works at An Grianán, an important National Monument in Co. Donegal.
  • MOORE’s Environmental section in association with Aengus Parsons and MarCon Computations International Ltd. were appointed by The Heritage Council of Ireland to prepare a National Marine Resource Directory on heritage and related issues in the marine and coastal zone and the offshore. This directory is available on the web through the Heritage Council website or this link here and will be available on CD ROM.
  • COHAB was opened by Dr. Eric Chivian, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Director of the CHGE at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Chivian presented a talk entitled “Sustaining Life: How Human Health Depends on Nature”. For more information click here.
  • Our sister company and new diving section, Moore Marine Ltd. under the direction of Eoghan Kieran has to date completed numerous marine jobs in both the archaeological and environmental sectors throughout the country. For more information click here.
